the Stag Prince

the cover image for a story based on a dream I had about a postapocalyptic world where nuclear fallout caused animals to form human-like bodies (over several generations of course). In the far future, the Stags are a society that keeps to themselves in the woods, except for every hundred years, the Stag Prince must come to the human fortress and take a human bride. Usually the princess is sent with him, but this time a priestess from one of the temples has had a dream about him, and she is the one who is chosen and who must make the long journey alone to the Stags' village deep in the forest.
